Beloved is a marriage night inspired by the words of Song of Solomon—a beautiful, biblical picture of covenant love, desire, commitment, and delight. This evening is designed to help couples slow down, reconnect, and remember the gift of marriage God intended it to be.
Through Scripture, teaching, and meaningful conversation, we’ll explore what it means to pursue one another with honor, affection, and intentionality. Whether your marriage is in a sweet season or a stretching one, Beloved is an invitation to draw close again—to celebrate the beauty and strength of committed, covenant love.
Come be reminded: great marriages don’t drift—they are chosen, cherished, and nurtured.

Meet Chad & Kristen Cottingham
Leaders of the Marriage Ministry at Riverside Church
Chad and Kristen Cottingham have been on a marriage journey since 1991—one filled with real challenges, unexpected twists, and the redeeming grace of God. From navigating young parenthood and career pressures to confronting emotional struggles and relational breakdowns, their story is one of perseverance, faith, and intentional growth.
Out of their own transformation was born a passion: to help other couples build marriages that last. Today, Chad and Kristen lead the Marriage Ministry at Riverside Church, where they walk alongside couples through coaching, retreats, workshops, and events. They also co-host the Intentional Marriage podcast, using transparency and humor to offer biblical truth and practical insight for every season of marriage.
Whether you’re preparing for marriage, looking to strengthen your relationship, or rebuilding after hardship—Chad and Kristen are here to help you pursue a more intentional, Christ-centered marriage.
They live in Southwest Michigan, love being “Mimi and Papa” to their five grandkids, and continue to believe that the best marriages are the ones we keep investing in—on purpose.
