Proverbs 28:1
The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.

Matthew 5:14-16 MSG
You’re here to be light, bringing out the God colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.

Luke 19:10
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.

Saved People Serve People
Found People Find People

266 people have come to Christ!

80 people have been water-baptized!

Luke 14:16-18, 21-23
A certain man was preparing a great banquet and invited many guests. At the time of the banquet, he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, Come, for everything is now ready. “But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said, “I have just bought a field, and I must go and see it. Please excuse me.”

“The servant came back and reported this to his master. Then the owner of the house became angry and ordered his servant, “Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame.” “Sir,’ the servant said, “what you ordered has been done, but there is still room.” Then the master told his servant, “Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in so that my house will be full.”

We share our faith… because this is our calling.

Matthew 28:19

Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

We share our faith…because people NEED the Lord.

John 3:17-18 MSG
God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.

We share our faith…because people want the Lord.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

John 10:10
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.

We share our faith… because I once was lost.

Luke 2:10-11
But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today, in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.

Are people attracted to Jesus because of you?

“I want my life to be so attractive that people who know me but don’t know God will want to know God because of me.”

2 Corinthians 5:19-20
God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are, therefore, Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

Recognize the moments.

1 Peter 3:15
But in your hearts, revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.

Mind your manners. Positive, not negative.

Common ground, not battleground.

1 Corinthians 9:22
To the weak, I became weak to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means, I might save some.

2 Timothy 2:23-25 TLB
Again, I say, don’t get involved in foolish arguments, which only upset people and make them angry. God’s people must not be quarrelsome; they must be gentle, patient teachers of those who are wrong. Be humble when you are trying to teach those who are mixed up concerning the truth. For if you talk meekly and courteously to them, they are more likely, with God’s help, to turn away from their wrong ideas and believe what is true.

1 Timothy 6:17-19
Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way, they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.
