Danielle struggled with emotional turmoil, a failing relationship, and a chaotic home life. Despite her mother’s encouragement to find solace in church, she hesitated until she felt she had nothing to lose. After attending services and listening to sermons, she decided to surrender her life to Jesus. This decision brought her profound peace and fulfillment that no medication had provided. Her transformation positively impacted her relationships and overall well-being, illustrating the life-changing power of faith and community at Riverside Church.
John and Cheyenne met 21 years ago in a drug house and decided to change their lives. They became homeless, living in a car and relying on missions for food. Unknowingly, God’s grace led them to salvation. John struggled but found support at Riverside Church, attending various groups and programs. A year later, Cheyenne joined him. Now both are on the Dream Team, grateful for their transformed lives and dedicated to helping others.
Blessed with the skill of crochet taught by her stepmother, she felt the need to give back. During COVID, she asked the church to start a crochet group. Despite initial doubts, the group has been active since last October, creating and donating items like baby blankets, hats, and chemo throws. She emphasizes the importance of using God-given talents to give back.
At 14, Nicholas joined the Church of Satan and spiraled into darkness, resulting in the death of friends and his own near-suicide. After a divine intervention, he met a girl who encouraged him to attend church. Reluctantly, he went and experienced a transformative moment that led him to accept Christ. Since then, he’s been baptized, studying scripture, and finding mental peace and better relationships. Now, Nicholas is a firm believer and follower of Christ, grateful for his changed life.
